Good point. As a designer I am more aware of this, but it's good to point out the true value of being so thorough with your testing. Thanks for your insight.

well put. It really is about the content. People like to see that there's stuff happening and changing. It creates a buzz about the station and makes people want to listen too.

Yes! Social doesn't mean talking so others will listen. Gathering feedback is super important.

Thanks, Nathan.

I would say that you're in the minority, Kathy. I don't get slammed with Mafia Wars, Farmville, Yoville updates from you. :)

I think we should be concerned about this. Our social information and who we know may, at some point in the future, be very useful information to the right people.

I dunno, Nathan, your social connections may be more important, especially in the future, than you might think.

Perhaps I'm channeling too much Phillip K. Dick...

Good question. I suppose I usually just assume that much of my spam is due to me not being very careful with what I'm giving permission to. I guess even though I know it's taking more of my data than I'm comfortable with, I don't really have anything REALLY sensitive that it could share anyway.

Thanks to your sponsor for a great post ... I've never heard it put so simply before. I've heard lots of ideas, but I'd say that's the most straightforward. It allows you to really understand the value and potential social sites have.
